It is also one of the last guest houses remaining from the great tourist era of Bundanoon when the town boasted some 50 accommodation venues, rivalling only the Blue Mountains as the favourite holiday destination of the late 1800s and early 1900s when special excursion trains travelled regularly to the Highlands.

Tree Tops remained a popular tourist destination right up to the middle of the century, when it was converted to other uses.

In the 1980s Tree Tops reopened as a small guesthouse. Over the years subsequent owners have rebuilt and renovated the classic building, adding new facilities and returning it to the grandeur of old.

The winding corridors of the main guest house offer surprises at every turn.

The guest house is furnished with objets d'artes, much of it of bygone family historical interest.

The windows offer unexpected and delightful views of the gardens. Guest rooms are comfortably furnished, lounges with open fires beckon you to relax and intimate little nooks offer seclusion and privacy.

Tree Tops offers accommodation in up to 22 rooms including luxury spa and family suites.

Traditional country breakfasts are a specialty of Tree Tops Country Guest House and are included in the tariff. You can also enjoy fine gourmet dining in the evening (accommodation and dining packages available). Our old fashioned high teas on Saturday afternoons are a favourite with guests.

Bundanoon village is just a short stroll down the road, with its cafes and historic hotel. Hire a bike or go bushwalking in Morton National Park and enjoy the beautiful scenery at its many lookouts.

And of course all the other attractions of the Southern Highlands are just a short drive away.
