Roaring 20's and Murder at Ma Kelly's Place

Visit “Ma Kelly’s” infamous nightclub, in Melbourne, full of all the colourful characters of Squizzy Taylor’s 1920’s gang.  Relive our shameful past with sly grog, two up and women for sale.  Follow the fight for supremacy between the police, the underground, the warring gangs and the madams as it gains momentum.  All is not what it seems and a murder exposes the secret alliance.


In Ma Kelly's Gin Palace the dubious characters of the 1920 Melbourne underworld gather and the notorious Tizzy Tailor, wealthy and affluent John Sparrow, razor man Harry-the-Hawk, Ted the Enforcer, con man Flash Harry and local boarding house owner, Flossie Rooker. Local cops are casing the joint and social lights illuminate the scene.

The gang war has reached a climax with a few outstanding scores to be settled. Surely on-one would make trouble at Ma Kelly's? Rumour has it that someone owes a lot of money to local SP bookie, Frank Housewater. Is it enough to kill for?

Murder at Club Casablanca

“Casablanca”, is an exotic mix of romance, black market and intrigue; a gateway to the Americas.  Everybody comes to Brick’s, an infamous nightclub where jewel thieves have an easy market for their loot.  Money is everything and murder is just another tool to obtain an exit visa from Europe.

It is 1940 in Casablanca. Colourful characters escaping from war torn Europe gather at Brick Laines infamous Club Casablanca. White slavers, nasty Nazis and the British nobility rub shoulders with French film producers, famous actresses and ruthless businessmen at the gambling tables. Casablanca would not be complete without one or two spies! One thing is certain, there is no shortage of cash. Black Market traffic in Passports and Exit Visas flourishes while agents from the Axis and Allies deal and double deal.

But even Club Casablanca is silenced by murder. Is it a crime of passion or something more sinister? Will Agatha Mistie solve this crime before the great French Inspector Moiree? Casablanca? You must remember this…. You enjoyed the movie so don’t miss Murder at the Club Casablanca.
